It takes a true professional driver to navigate a 30-tonne Ferrit mining loader, and doing so in a dusty, dark underground environment is even tougher. Without reliable anti-collision software, the driver could easily collide with rocks or other obstacles. That’s why Roboauto integrated a front-facing lidar, which monitors the vehicle’s surroundings and helps maintain a safe distance from the tunnel walls. The system assists the driver by providing sound signals to help avoid obstacles. This way the driver and the loader are able to work even in such a challenging environment without any trouble at all.

Our anti-collision system (CAS) works seamlessly with other robotic driving systems. In this case, Roboauto combined CAS with teleoperation for enhanced safety.  In the possibility of a collision, CAS automatically takes control of the vehicle and brings it to a stop. The system is fully adjustable to different environments and situations and can be customized to meet specific customer needs.

Anti-collision is one of the fundamental systems for autonomous driving. Roboauto’s CAS can detect objects around the vehicle that could collide with its pre-planned route and stop or slow down. In case of an emergency, after stopping due to an obstacle on the road, the CAS can prompt a remote operator to connect via teleoperation and solve the situation.
